If you’ve visited The Gift Closet before, you will fondly remember the beautiful smell of the store which is thanks in large part to our beautiful range of Glasshouse Fragrances. 

A favourite with our customers, Glasshouse Fragrances Triple Scented Soy Candles are a staple in my own home too and my go-to gift for friends, teachers and those hard-to-buy-for family members. 

We love Glasshouse for their rich scents and beautiful quality, but do know how to make the most of each candle? 

• Make the first burn count. We suggest when lighting your candle for the first time, you allow enough time for the wax to melt across the entire surface. This may take an 1-4 hours depending on the size of your candle, but will prevent tunnelling and create an even burn in the future. 

• Maximise the fragrance and close windows and doors while you are burning your candle. 

• Remember your burning time. Glasshouse Fragrances recommend you do not burn a 760g for less than 2 hours or more than 4 hours at a time. For the 380g, do not burn for less than 1 hour or more than 4 hours at a time. For the 60g, do not burn for less than 30 minutes or more than 2 hours at time. 

• Prevent soot forming on the glass by keeping wicks trimmed. Glasshouse Fragrances recommend wicks are upright and trimmed to 7mm during use and each time a candle is relit. And if a candle has multiple wicks, they must all be lit every time the candle is used. 

• Never use water to extinguish a candle, instead chose a candle snuffer or blow gently on the flame until it is extinguished. 

And finally, know when to say goodbye. Stop burning your candle when 10mm of unmelted wax remains in the bottom of the glass of your candle. Then pop into the store and purchase a new scent to enjoy – we even offer a loyalty card for our Glasshouse Fragrances frequent shoppers!
